Gråbo is situated on Lake Mjörn. The lake is quite large and has several islands. This is a very good fishing lake and the abundance of fish is also the reason why you can find several pairs of nestling ospreys around Mjörn. This lake is connected with other lakes and is therefore popular among canoeists. There is also a 18-hole golf course in Gråbo.

The area around Gråbo has been inhabited for thousands of years. Here you can find a grave field with mounds of stones that date back from the Bronze Age and old Norse memorial stones.
The church Stora Lundby was built in 1728, Gråbobut remains found on this site show that there has been a church there since the Middle Ages.
