Anna-Lena Holberg
(Mod.) and
Dennis Jerryd
(Soc.Dem.). Their offices are in the Town Hall at Bagges Torg. The other elected representatives are amateur politicians. They have their regular work or studies and devote their spare time to politics. They are most often easiest to reach in the evening.
What do committees and departments do?
Politicians appointed by the Municipal Council sit on committees.
The Vision and Development committees both deal with the future development of services, and that activities preformed by the Municipal executive board and departments are fullfilling the goals of the Municipal Council.
Open meetings
The Municipal Counsil have open meetings, which you are welcome to attend.
Fees
The basic principle is that all citizens should have the opportunity to involve themselves in political assignments without loss of income. Elected representatives therefore receive remuneration for the time they spend on their political assignment. The Chairman and Vice Chairman also receive a fixed fee for a part of the time they spend on planning and conducting the work of the committee.
