Planning applications

A planning application is required for new buildings and extensions. But also for changes to buildings that affect the construction of the load-bearing members or the general layout, as for the installation or alteration of fireplaces, flues or arrangements for ventilation. You will also need a planning application for the installation or alteration of water or drainage facilities.

 

A planning application has to be submitted no later than three weeks before the planned start of building. The planning application describes how the construction is to be effected technically. It also states what is to be inspected, how it is to be done and by whom. A planning application ceases to be valid if the work has not been commenced within two years from the day of application.
